Do you take insurance?

I purposely do not work with insurance companies. Not working with insurance companies allows me to offer my clients the highest level of treatment flexibility and health record anonymity.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

The price for a 50 minute counseling session is $120.

What payments do you accept?

I accept cash, check, health savings account cards, credit. All cash payments need to be exact as I may not have change on hand.

Do you see children?

I do not see children. Because working with children is a very specific type of training that I do not have, I only see clients who are 18 years old or older.

Do you offer video/telehealth sessions?

Yes, John DeMarco Counseling offers mental health Counseling via secure video sessions to clients located in Tennessee. As a licensed therapist in Tennessee I am able to provide telehealth services to anyone residing in the state. Video sessions are conducted through SimplePractice, a secure and HIPAA compliant platform, making it easy to receive professional mental health support from the comfort of your own home. There are no restrictions on who can participate in video sessions-all services available in person are also available via telehealth.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, John DeMarco Counseling Offers a free 15 minute phone consultation to all perspective clients in Clarksville, Tennessee and throughout the state. This initial call is a no pressure opportunity to discuss the therapy process, fees, and to determine whether we are a good fit for working together. Getting started with therapy can feel like a big step, and this free consultation is designed to make that first step as comfortable as possible.

Do you do substance abuse counseling or anger management counseling?

While these issues often come up in the therapy process, I do not do specifically structured anger management or substance abuse counseling that’s often required by a Court or Department of Children Services. Because I believe a desire to change is essential to the therapy process I do not do mandated counseling.
